South Texas 100% outpatient Pediatric opening – FQHC setting

  • Not-for-profit community health center setting
  • Group has 16,000 active patient charts. Multi-specialty outpatient practice setting.
  • Group has 6 Internal Medicine, 1 General practitioner, 2 pediatricians, 2 OB/GYN’s, 1 Rheumatologist, 1 Part-time psychiatrist, 1 part-time ophthalmologist, 1 dentist, 1 optometrist, 2 LPC’s and 11 APP’s.
  • Group is hiring for a permanent pediatric position ideally to start in 2025.
  • 100% outpatient position. Light phone call averages 2-3 telephone calls per week.
  • Expect to see 20-24 patients per day.
  • Group is replacing a senior pediatrician who is retiring.
  • Competitive pay ranging from $190,000 - $210,000.
  • Group can sponsor J-1 and H1-B visa holders (cap-exempt). Group will comply with the US Bureau of Labor standards on salary.
  • DHHS waiver is available year-round for J-1 waivers. HPSA score is 19 if you require HPSA loan repayment score.
  • EMR is NextGen. They are going to eClinicalWorks later this year.
  • See ages 18 and younger. Rarely see patients over 18 but occasionally if patients desire to stay with their pediatrician until age 21.
  • Production bonus is based on patient volumes. Guaranteed base salary never drops while employed. Quality measures bonus also available.
  • Benefits include 403B retirement with 3% match after 3 months. CME $1500, books and journals, membership dues, health, and life insurance, FTCA malpractice insurance (tail included), relocation expenses of $6,000.
  • 32 days off in year one including paid holidays and 5 CME days. Vacation time goes up in years 1 – 5 with total days off going up to 40 days off per year after 5 years. In years 6-10 the PTO goes up to 50 days off after 10 years with incremental increases each year.

  • 1 hour to McAllen, TX and 2.5 hours to Corpus Christi, TX
