Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Pediatrician to provide high-quality outpatient primary care and urgent care services at the Pinon Health Center. This role involves working closely with a collegial group of providers and allied health professionals to deliver exceptional care to our patients, predominantly from the Navajo community.

Responsibilities:

Provide outpatient primary care and walk-in urgent care services.

Perform comprehensive examinations, diagnostic tests, and treatments.

Manage acute and chronic conditions, providing preventive and follow-up care.

Collaborate with allied health professionals for integrated patient care.

Utilize the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for accurate and timely documentation.

Participate in medical staff meetings and adhere to established standards of care.

Provide emergency care as needed, including life-saving measures in urgent situations.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 36 months of Physician Pediatrician work experience.

Board-certified or board-eligible with the American Board of Pediatrics.

Valid, unrestricted physician license in any state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. Territory.

Valid DEA license with schedule types II through V.

Certified in BLS; ACLS and PALS certifications are highly recommended.

Valid driver’s license if required by the position.

Ability to read, understand, speak, and write English effectively.

Respect for American Indian and Alaska Native culture.

Health Requirements:

Medical evaluation to ensure fitness for duty.

Documentation of required immunizations (Hepatitis A, B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Meningococcal, TB test, Influenza, COVID-19).

Work Schedule:

Regular work hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Flexibility for additional hours, weekends, and on-call duties as needed.

Short-term (13 weeks) and long-term (one-year with two additional option years) assignments available.
