Arizona – Ophthalmology

  • The Department of Surgery of a large, nonprofit integrated medical group practice has an immediate practice opportunity for a full time Ophthalmologist. The Department staffs a community hospital with a State and American College of Surgeons designated Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center in the metropolitan Phoenix area with State-of-the-art equipment and Technology.
  • Optometric and subspecialty support in Retina and Oculoplastic is available.
  • The successful candidate will be appointed to the Department of Surgery with responsibilities relating to serving as a faculty member to its sponsored graduate medical education programs. The candidate will assist in developing the clinical service line, providing inpatient and outpatient general ophthalmology services in the elective and emergent care settings, shared call coverage, teaching residents and should be comfortable with a teamwork approach for patient management. The candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in collaborative research activities.
  • Required qualifications: The qualified candidate must have completed an accredited ophthalmology residency program, be board certified or board eligible.
  • Fellowship training in Glaucoma, Anterior segment and/or Cornea and External disease is welcome.
