Montana Hospitalist Medical Director

  • For the Medical Director position, they are looking for an IM or FM trained, board certified with 2+ years hospitalist experience, preferably with prior leadership experience. They are open to newer leaders or those looking to take the next step in their career. This is a great opportunity managing a smaller group of clinicians.
  • Compensation is in the mid-upper $300’s, includes administrative stipend and shift pay – primarily day shifts, time carved out for administrative work
  • Join 6 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers, with the support of a clinical performance nurse.
  • There is a dedicated team of intensivists managing the ICU.
  • Diverse group of physicians from all over the US who call Montana their home and are an integral part of this lovely community.
  • Their hospitalist team is the linchpin for the hospital and is involved in most of the hospital committees. They help with strategy and decision-making for their hospital partners.
  • Living in Montana, one cannot help but appreciate all nature has to offer. Their provider group enjoys fishing, hiking, and skiing among many other outdoor summer and winter activities.
Practice
  • They welcome the challenge of complex cases, working in a semi-open ICU with intensivist coverage during the day and tele-ICU coverage at night.
  • The group convenes once a month for a team meeting. This helps us collaboratively make all decisions to best support the team.
  • Most of them like to spend time with their families or in the outdoors, so a flexible schedule is available, and they cover for each other when they are out.
  • You will have a dedicated physician-led team for professional education focused on your individual development and growth.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability, 401k with match, paid medical malpractice and tail coverage, and annual CME allowance.
Purpose
  • They put patients first. Always.
  • A focus on growth and development is a key feature of their medical practices, where teammates can expand their careers in Montana or within the broader medical group.
  • They are a community-minded team and encourage their team members who want to contribute in and out of the hospital to help make their local community thrive.
