Palliative Care Physician - Georgia

Georgia health system is seeking a board eligible/board certified Palliative Medicine physician to expand their current palliative care service line, by offering inpatient and limited outpatient services in west Georgia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborative Team Environment: Join an established, collegial inpatient palliative care team consisting of one physician, a dedicated full-time LPN, and a full-time licensed social worker.
  • Program Development: Lead the design and implementation of an outpatient palliative care clinic, with the goal of including a Home-Based Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Clinical Excellence: Provide high-quality palliative care in an acute care hospital setting. Program management experience is preferred.
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Care through the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Board certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or General Surgery.
  • Education: Completion of an accredited Palliative Medicine Fellowship.
  • Licensing: Current GA Medical License or must meet eligibility requirements.
