Arc Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family or Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at Weeks Medical Center, part of North Country Healthcare. This is a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive care in an underserved, close-knit rural community in northern New Hampshire.

Rural medicine offers the chance to deliver high-quality primary care—including preventive, acute, and chronic disease management—while participating in community health initiatives and promoting wellness education.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medical care, including physical exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans

  • Develop personalized health plans and manage long-term treatment for patients with chronic conditions

  • Offer preventative care services, including immunizations, screenings (e.g., cancer, cholesterol, blood pressure), and wellness check-ups

  • Order diagnostic testing, follow up with patients on results, and adjust treatment plans accordingly

  • Prescribe medications and treatments based on best practices and patient needs

  • Coordinate specialty referrals when necessary

  • Educate patients on disease prevention, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices

  • Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care

  • Maintain medical records in compliance with North Country Healthcare’s guidelines

  • Uphold professional medical standards as required for continued participation and reappointment to the NCH Medical Staff

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice

Essential Qualifications:

  • Board certification (or eligibility) per WMC Medical Staff Bylaws

  • ACLS and BLS certification from the American Heart Association

  • Successful completion of an approved residency (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, American Osteopathic Association, or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada)

  • Comfortable managing own patient panel and practicing autonomously
