Description

UNC Primary and Specialty Care at Brier Creek is looking for an APP (NP/PA).

UNC Primary and Specialty Care at Brier Creek (formally Internal Medicine at Brier Creek) offers family medicine services as well as women’s health and endocrinology. Our care team provides compassionate and personalized primary care for children and adults, and our gynecologic services address all stages and all needs. Our care team is committed to providing the highest quality of care for all patients.

Brier Creek offers same-day appointments, extended hour and online scheduling.

Primary Care Services:

•Preventative healthcare for adults

•Sick Care

•Well-child checks

•Adolescent health

•Diabetes education

•Women’s healthcare needs

•Management of acute and chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and asthma

•Immunizations

•Physicals for sports, school, employment, insurance and CDL

•Nutritional counseling and weight management

Specialty Care Services:

•Thyroid modules, thyroid cancer and disorders

•Adrenal, pituitary and endocrine cancers

•Type 2 diabetes

•Metabolic bone cancer

•Neck ultrasound and biopsies (ECNU)

•Biopsies and thyroid masses and lymph nodes in the neck

•Clinical desitometry (CCD)

•Management of osteoporosis

Practice Hours:

Monday – Friday8:00am – 5:00pm

Job Qualifications:

•Family Medicine APP

•Licensed in North Carolina

•2-plus years of experience

Education Requirements:
● Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) in the state of North Carolina.
● Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● No prior experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● Demonstrated clinical competency.
● Effective leadership skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
● Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.
● Effective interaction to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting.
● Documentation in the medical record to substantiate accurate billing.
