Are you...
...Passionate about public health and increasing patient access to primary care? Looking for a place to practice medicine without financial barriers standing between you and your patients who otherwise cannot afford healthcare? The busy, multicultural practice at Good Neighbor Community Health Center may be the place for you.
Good Neighbor is seeking a Board Certified MD or DO to join our multidisciplinary (medical, dental, behavioral health) team in Columbus, Nebraska.
As an FQHC, Good Neighbor provides high quality care to everyone, with a particular focus on the underserved in our communities and counties, including the uninsured, homeless, and immigrant populations. More than 10,000 patients receive primary care services from Good Neighbor's two clinics each year. Good Neighbor is considered a vital safety-net provider; without Good Neighbor, many patients would otherwise seek healthcare services on an as-needed basis at their local emergency rooms.
Good Neighbor is mission driven, and statutorily obligated, to structure fees and payments to meet the needs of every patient, including a sliding fee scale that slides down to $35, but can be waived completely based on patient financial information considerations. Good Neighbor also offers transportation to and from appointments, an on-site clinic, we participate in the 340B drug program, and have an on-site moderate-to-complex lab, x-ray capabilities, pharmacy, and a same-day QuickCare clinic.
