The Facility, located in Parker, Arizona, delivers high-quality healthcare services to the members of five Native American tribes. Serving a population of over 5,200 individuals, the Colorado Service Unit includes members from the Colorado River Indian Tribes, which represent an ethnic mix of Mojave, Hopi, Navajo, and Chemehuevi, as well as the Hualapai, Havasupai, Chemehuevi, and Fort Mojave tribes.
The hospital is a 20-bed facility, accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO), and is staffed by five physicians and one physician's assistant. Notably, it was the first tribal hospital in the United States to have its inpatient beds licensed as swing beds.
Parker PHS Indian Hospital provides comprehensive general medical care and pediatric services to the local community. Specialty outpatient services are offered on-site by Indian Health Service (IHS) providers, contract specialists, or through off-site referrals.
