About the Facility and Area:
The Parker Indian Health Center (PIHC), located next to the Colorado River, serves as the headquarters of the Colorado River Service Unit. This 17-bed Critical Access Hospital offers general medical services to American Indian/Alaskan Native communities, with specialty outpatient services on-site or through referrals. PIHC serves approximately 7,850 patients and is situated near various recreational activities like boating, fishing, hiking, and cycling.
Responsibilities:
- Clinic Services: Lab, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Suturing, Pharmacy, EKG, Emergency Room, Minor Surgery, Pediatric and Adult/Geriatric care
- Specialty Services: Behavioral Health, Dental, Pediatrics, Emergency, Rheumatology, OBGYN, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Endocrinology, Podiatry, and more
- Support Staff available during shifts
- Shifts: 12 hours day/night (7 AM to 7 PM / 7 PM to 7 AM)
Job Requirements:
- Staff the Emergency Department and provide comprehensive care
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety projects
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- ABEM or ABFM certification, with ATLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications
- Three or more years' experience in Emergency Medicine
- Active, unrestricted license and DEA from any US state or territory
- Committed to rural, Tribal, and underserved healthcare
