Primary care/General Practice opening in South Dakota Correctional Facility

  • Employed position by the State of South Dakota
  • Located in the Sioux Falls, SD metro area. Population of over 200,000.
  • Open to an experienced provider with a clean license/background and ability to get a SD license.
  • General practice providers will be considered as Board Eligibility is NOT required.
  • 100% outpatient setting.
  • Position is a .8 FTE status position. 32 hours per week. Pay is prorated to .8 FTE.
  • Group has three APP’s and one MD. Replacing a doctor who is relocating.
  • Salary ranges from $247,845 to $330,446 depending on experience.
  • Calls are shared equally between 8 physicians in a rotating basis. This comes out to 6 or 7 weeks of call per year.
  • Salaries are reviewed annually by the state and raises are determined by legislators. No production bonus system.
  • CorrecTek EMR
  • No State income tax in South Dakota

  • Paid Professional Liability Insurance – Public entity pool for liability (PEPL) fund.
  • Facility is an all-men’s correctional facility and will see patients ages 19 and older.
  • SD medical license is required.
