PA/NP needed for rural villages in the Eastern Aleutian Islands in Alaska
Locations: Sand Point, Cold Bay, and False Pass, Alaska
The Eastern Aleutian Islands are a remote chain off Alaska's coast, defined by rugged volcanic peaks, diverse wildlife, and rich indigenous culture. Visitors encounter dramatic landscapes, including active volcanoes like Mount Shishaldin and abundant wildlife such as puffins and sea otters. Despite unpredictable weather, opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, and cultural exploration abound, offering a unique and unforgettable adventure.
Arc Health is seeking three (3) committed PA/NPs to help provide healthcare across Sand Point (4-6 pts/day), Cold Bay (1-5 pts/WEEK), and False Pass (1-6 pts/day), Alaska. Collaborating with fellow healthcare providers through Arc's Community of Practice, Community Health Aides on site at Sand Point, and first responders, you'll play a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to small, rural communities ranging in size from 40 to 800. This position requires innovative problem-solving, teamwork, patience, determination, and adaptability as essential competencies. Your role will include preventative, primary, and emergency care services and will include on-call duties to ensure 24/7 support for the people in these villages.

Qualifications
Comfortable at true solo staff coverage
Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant education and certification.
Active, unrestricted Alaska NP/PA License.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Primary Care and/or Emergency Care.
Current ACLS certification.
Preferred experience in tribal health or rural healthcare.
Ability to commit to multiple 4 week on, 4 week off assignments throughout 2024 and beyond.
Working Hours
Travel day from home to site and back, as well as between facilities while on assignment are paid
