Physician Assistant – Orthopedics Sports Medicine – Clinic/OR – EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT WILL TRAIN - North Carolina

Healthcare System seeks to add a full-time orthopedic Physician Assistant. The position will include four days in the clinic and one day in the OR. The Physician Assistant will support a Sports Medicine Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon with a very busy sports and general practice. Responsibilities include providing first assist, running a clinic, reductions, patient evaluation and education, pre- and post-H&P’s, injections (small joints and bursa), consultation and reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting. The Physician Assistant will cover college (D1) and high school sporting events. Successful Physician Assistants must be NCCPA-Certified and have an orthopedic rotation. It is a real plus if the candidates have a background as an ATC or in Kinesiology or sports medicine. There are no call requirements. Experience greatly preferred, but will potentially train the right candidate with an orthopedic rotation.

The location is a small town about 50 minutes to Johnson City, TN. There is a competitive compensation package (25 PTO days, pension, healthcare, dental, vision, including a bonus program (plus sign-on). Additionally, there is an excellent benefits package.
