Healthcare System seeks to add a full-time orthopedic Physician Assistant. The position will include four days in the clinic and one day in the OR. The Physician Assistant will support a Sports Medicine Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon with a very busy sports and general practice. Responsibilities include providing first assist, running a clinic, reductions, patient evaluation and education, pre- and post-H&P’s, injections (small joints and bursa), consultation and reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting. Also, there is the opportunity to cover college and high school sporting events (if desired). Successful Physician Assistants must be NCCPA-Certified and have an orthopedic rotation. It is a real plus if the candidates have a background as an ATC or in Kinesiology or sports medicine. There are no call requirements.

The location is a smaller town about two hours north of Charlotte, NC. There is a competitive compensation package (25 PTO days, pension, healthcare, dental, vision, including a bonus program (plus sign-on). Additionally, there is an excellent benefits package.
