Physician Assistant - Orthopedics - CLINIC AND OR - Bloomington, Illinois

Orthopedic Specialty Group seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant to the team.

• Previous orthopedic experience is preferred but will train a new graduate with interest in orthopedics!
• The position includes both the clinic and OR.
• The new Physician Assistant will be working with a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon.
• Cases include both pediatric and adult and includes total joints, trauma, back etc.

Responsibilities include:

• First assist
• Initial evaluations
• Joint aspiration and injections
• Pre-op and Post-op H&P’s
• Reductions of fractures and dislocations
• Write scripts
• Coordinate with Physical Therapist and ATC’s
• Ordering tests and evaluate X-ray, CT Scan and MRI
• Casting and splinting
• Possibility to run clinics
• Hospital rounds

The location is 40 minutes to Bloomington. This city has universities, a local airport, low cost of living and excellent school systems. Salary depends on experience plus an excellent production bonus plan. There is a full benefits package offered.
