Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Vancouver, WA
If you’re considering a move to Vancouver, Washington, you’ll be able to enjoy its picturesque natural surroundings, including the Columbia River and nearby forests. Additionally, the city’s proximity to Portland, Oregon, provides access to a vibrant cultural scene.
- The team is a closely knit, established group of 25 physicians and 9 advanced practice providers (APPs), with the support of two associate medical directors, two clinical performance nurses, and a program manager.
- They believe in diversity and inclusion. They have clinicians from different backgrounds and with a wide range of interests.
- Their team is actively engaged in the medical staff community, encouraging participation in various hospital committees.
- They foster meaningful patient care discussions while also valuing each other on a personal level. Their team extends beyond work, such as watching Sunday football in the office.
- They ang out outside work and enjoy dinners, axe throwing, bowling, and trivia night. We are eagerly looking forward to attending a Blazers NBA game and a hiking trip in the future.
- They are seeking experienced NPs or PAs to join their team.
- The hospital has a closed ICU during the day with 24/7 intensivist support, and they don’t require procedures or codes.
- Their APPs have considerable autonomy with the right amount of support from their physicians – they carry their own patient load and assist with their observation unit.
- They hold semi-monthly team meetings to ensure alignment and collaboration across the practice and a midweek morning meeting for brief updates and celebrations.
- Most of them like to spend time with their families or outdoors, so a standard seven on/off schedule is available. Other flexible schedule options may also be available. They support one another by covering shifts when needed.
- Compensation is competitive, with a base salary range of $150k – $160k, depending on experience.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability, 401k with match, paid medical malpractice and tail coverage, and annual CME allowance.
- Patients are always their top priority.
- Growth and development are key features of Sound’s practices, where teammates can expand their careers here locally and within the broader medical group.
- They’re a community-minded team and encourage contributions within and outside the hospital to make our local community thrive. They have partnered with a Free Clinic where some of their colleagues have volunteered their time to assist the less fortunate.
