Certified Nurse Midwife Opportunity in Minnesota

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking two Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) to join and expand their Obstetrics program. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new specialty within the organization, working alongside one OB/GYN MD and two Family Medicine with Obstetrics MDs. As part of our dedicated obstetric team, you will assist in delivering approximately 260 babies each year and provide comprehensive care throughout pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, family planning, and gynecologic needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Patient Care: Provide care during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and gynecological needs.
  • Program Development: Aid in the development and growth of the new midwifery program.
  • Collaboration: Partner with OB/GYN and Family Medicine with Obstetrics physicians.
  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with 36 patient contact hours per week.
  • On-Call Rotation: Equitable participation in a 1:5 on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Board certified in midwifery by the AMCB.
  • Licensure: Eligible for RN and APRN licensure in Minnesota.
  • Certifications: Current BLS and NRP certifications.
  • EMR Systems: Transitioning to EPIC in November 2022. Currently using Allscripts (outpatient) and Paragon (inpatient).

  • Salary: Base guaranteed salary for the first two years with additional compensation options based on production hours.
