We are seeking a Urologist to provide locum tenens coverage for one full week per month and potentially two weekends per month. This role focuses on inpatient care and call-only responsibilities, supporting the facility's urology department to ensure uninterrupted patient care.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in general urology and advanced urological procedures, delivering high-quality care in a collaborative hospital environment.

  • Provide on-call urology services, including phone consultations and emergency surgical interventions.
  • Manage inpatient urological cases requiring specialized care.
  • Perform advanced urological procedures, including laparoscopic surgeries, robotic surgeries, and endoscopic techniques.
  • Ensure timely responses to beeper calls (within a 30-minute window).
  • Maintain clear documentation using the Epic EMR system.
  • Collaborate with the hospital team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications

Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
Licensure: Active Missouri medical license required.
Certifications: ATLS, BLS.
Experience: Proficiency in advanced urological procedures and techniques is essential

Working Hours

Schedule: One full week per month and potentially two weekends per month.
On-Call Coverage: Beeper call only, with a response time requirement of 30 minutes.
No clinic duties; inpatient care only.

Skills

Advanced urological procedures, including but not limited to:
Laparoscopic surgeries.
Robotic-assisted surgeries.
Ureteroscopy, nephrectomies, prostatectomy, and radical cystectomy.
Management of incontinence procedures and fertility work-ups.
Renal and bladder ultrasound-guided biopsies.
Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL).
Ability to handle both adult and pediatric cases.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
