The VA Loma Linda has an opening for an energetic, driven, and compassionate Physician in healthcare to serve as a Urologist.

Facility Details: VA Loma Linda Healthcare System (VALLHCS) is actively recruiting to fill a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urologist to help care for our Veterans – America’s Heroes! Selected candidate will be considered for a faculty appointment at Loma Linda University & be involved with education & teaching of medical students, residents & other providers. The duties include but are not limited to:

  • Adrenal gland surgery
  • Appendectomy/component of urologic procedure
  • All forms of prostatectomy, including ultrasound w/wo biopsy
  • Bowel resection as component of urologic procedure
  • Circumcision
  • Continent reservoirs and intestinal conduit
  • Cystectomy surgery of the urinary bladder for benign or malignant disease, partial and total resection - Creation of neobladders, cystostomy and removal of stones and foreign bodies
  • Cystoscopy with Urolift
  • Enterostomy as component of urologic procedure
  • Enterocele, rectocele and cystocele repair
  • Epididymovasostomy and other plastic reconstructive procedures of male gentialia
  • Exploration of retroperitoneum
  • Excision of retroperitoneal cyst or lymph nodes
  • Insertion of indwelling ureteral stent
  • Laparotomy for diagnostic or exploratory purposes including retroperitoneum (urologic related conditions)
  • Lymph node dissection-inguinal or iliac
  • Male/ Female sphincter prosthesis
  • Nephrolithotomy, including nephrostomy tube placement and endoscopy and lithotripsy
  • Pelvic exenteration
  • Penile Surgery, including Peyronie's disease and grafting and soft tissue masses/tumors
  • Plastic and reconstructive procedures on ureter, bladder and urethra
  • Reconstructive procedures on external male/female genitalia requiring prosthetic implants or foreign materials
  • Surgery of the kidney, including renal pelvis total or partial nephrectomy, for malignant or benign disease, including radical transthoracic nephrectomy and renal pelvis stones
  • Surgery of the testicle, scrotum, epididymis, including biopsy, excision of soft tissue masses/tumors and reduction of testicular torsion, orchiopexy
  • Transurethral surgery, including resection of prostate bladder tumors and valves, ureterocele and urethrotomy
  • Ureteroscopy, including lithotripsy and laser surgery
  • Urethral suspension procedures, bladder neck and injection of mechanical agents
