Locums Urology - Southwood, GA Coverage Need

  • Vacancy due to long-term permanent search
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 9-12 months
Position Details Practice Settings: Outpatient, Inpatient Shifts: - Clinic: 8 AM - 5 PM - OR: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM Call Details: - Rotating M/T, W/Th, F/S/S schedule (may change to a 1-week rotation) - In-house and beeper call (on-site presence not required 100% of the time) - Call ratio: 1:4 with locum - Support for ED/ACC consults and rounding on inpatient/clinic patients - Possible need to cover two sites Patient Volume: Estimated 21 patients per day Procedures: General urology and minor surgeries; advanced cases handled by internal urologists Submissions Requirements Licensed in GA or IMLC Board certified or Eligible Clean malpractice/background history Skill Requirements Required Procedures: - General Urology (Adult) - Endoscopic techniques (not advanced) - Laparoscopy: No - Ureteroscopy - TURP, TURBT, Hydrocelectomy, Spermatocelectomy - Vasectomy, Cystoscopy - Prostate Biopsies Preferred Skills: - Incontinence procedures - IPP (Inflatable Penile Prosthesis) - ESWL (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy) Not Required: Pediatric urology, advanced robotic/laparoscopic surgeries, or renal transplant Additional Notes Candidate will perform office procedures, minor surgeries, and assist with clinic operations. Advanced cases will be managed by internal staff. Call may involve coverage for two hospital sites.
