Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Urologist for a locum tenens position to provide crucial urology services in southeast Alaska. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a remote, underserved area while experiencing the stunning natural landscapes and unique culture of the area.
Position Overview:
• Deliver comprehensive outpatient urology care, including patient evaluations, clinical analysis, diagnosis, and ongoing therapy recommendations.
• Treat a variety of genitourinary disorders affecting the kidneys, bladder, adrenal glands, and male reproductive organs.
• Conduct urological testing and integrate laboratory tests, radiological studies, and diagnostic exams, such as cystoscopies, in a clinical setting.
• Perform endoscopic and laparoscopic surgeries as appropriate, covering abdominal, pelvic, and retroperitoneal areas.
• Collaborate with local medical and administrative teams to develop service line approaches tailored to specific urological needs.
Requirements:
• M.D. or D.O., Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
• Completion of an accredited Urology Residency
• Active Alaska medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in urology
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and a collaborative approach to patient care
