Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$22.12 - $27.65 / hour

Summary

$5,000 Sign On Bonus and $2,500 Relocation Assistance available.

Work schedule: Monday- Friday.

No weekends, No holidays.

1 Point of Care Testing Lab - Urine / Semen

Stand alone Laboratory

1. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing a variety of clinical lab testing and clerical functions to support the day-to-day operation of the Urology physician office Laboratory.

2. Performs moderate complex testing in accordance with state, federal and other regulatory guidelines. Responsible for specimen verification, processing and preparation and reading of microscopy slides and reporting in EPIC. Assist with staff competency requirements.

3. Completes equipment maintenance, quality control activities in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and department policies and procedures. Performs and records quality control per department policy and notifies supervisor when situations are critical and/or can't be resolved in a timely manner.

4. Successfully performs Proficiency Testing as required.

5. Clerical duties include operation of office equipment such as fax machines and printers, in addition to basic computer skills in the electronic medial record

6. Is able to prioritize workload and demonstrate flexibility to meet customer and departmental needs. Effectively communicates and demonstrates good customer service throughout the health system to include nursing staff, physicians, patients, co-workers and other LH customers and employees.

7. Actively participates in process improvement to enhance turnaround times and quality of test results utilizing decision making and troubleshooting skills..
