Overview

Mercy Medical Group (MMG), a multi-specialty group with more than 500 healthcare Physicians and Advanced Practice providers in the Sacramento region, is looking to add a fellowship-trained Neurocritical Care specialist to its busy and diverse neurosciences division.

MMG is seeking a fellowship-trained Neurointensivist to join our robust Neurocritical Care service. Our Neurosciences Department consists of 17 Neurologists including 3 established neurointensivists. Candidates must be BE/BC in Neurology with dedicated Neurocritical Care Fellowship training. This candidate will help grow the Neurological Critical Care service for Dignity Health Neurological Institute of Northern California to ensure high-quality, safe, and effective care for patients affected by catastrophic emergent neurological injury and neurological complications in critically ill patients in our Neuro-ICU. This individual will provide service in direct support of the Mercy Neurological Institute at our Joint Commission Certified Stroke Centers offering a complete interdisciplinary stroke intervention team, including neurosurgeons, neuro-interventional radiology, and bi-plane angio neurointerventional suites. We have 20 dedicated Neuro ICU beds and the region's first certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. Dignity Health's Neurological Institute is a market leader, actively involved in clinical research trials, consistently setting the community standard for patients affected by neurological diseases.

Compensation: $518,992

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • A valid and unrestricted California medical license
  • Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program
  • Primary board should be in Neurology. This is not a position for a Neurointerventional Physician.
  • Experience in placing EVD is required
  • Training in multimodal monitoring is an optional plus
  • Not an H1 or J1 opportunity


Pay Range
$249.51 - $249.51 /hour
