Covenant Medical Group is seeking a Perm General Urologist in Mid Michigan due to increasing volumes and need for improved patient access. This position is a high priority for the organization.

Job Description:
  • Covenant Medical Group (CMG), the employed physician network of Covenant HealthCare, is seeking a qualified urology provider to join our extraordinary medical team. CMG is a physician-driven and patient-focused organization built on a commitment to set the standards for excellence in health care delivery, community stewardship and professional fulfillment.
  • CMG consists of a 205-member employed physician group, supported by over 77 advanced practice providers.
  • The ideal candidate will possess skills in laparoscopic procedures, as well as the full range of general urology. The provider should have first-rate clinical outcomes, diligent/meticulous and excellent communication skills with patients and families.
  • We are seeking urologist with excellent clinical and leadership skills as we continue to build this premier urologic practice.
  • You will join three other experienced urologists, including two uro-oncologists.The facility would prefer a General Urologist, as 2 of their 3 providers are already robotically trained and do uro-oncology.
  • Call will be 1:4.
  • In addition to the hospital OR, there is a beautiful outpatient surgery center available to the urologists. Both have daVincis. The clinic is in a beautiful building with primary care and pediatrics.
  • As part of Covenant, the physicians will use Epic as their EHR. Covenant was an early adopter of Epic and has been using it for around 15 years.
  • CMG also provides all clinic personnel and there is a practice coordinator on site.
  • There is opportunity to have medical students and residents from Central Michigan University round with the physician.
  • We have the greatest breadth of specialists in the region with most IM subspecialties represented, in addition to a tremendous number of surgical subspecialties. Our Emergency Care Center has been ranked among the best in the country.
  • Level 2 trauma center and also certified for pediatrics and geriatrics. Our geriatrics area in the ECC is amazing! It includes immediate access to therapist and social workers, disposable hearing and visual aids, more comfortable bedding, etc.
  • New, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment including two of the most advanced da Vinci HD robots, a new hybrid operating suite and home of the ARTIS pheno, a robotic C-arm angiography system used for minimally invasive interventional procedures. This new robotic technology is the first of its kind in the Great Lakes Bay Region, second in Michigan, and is changing the way surgeons view the human body.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Covenant offers extremely competitive base compensation follow MGMA guidelines and are based on training/fellowship and experience (to be discussed at interview). Provider may submit salary expectations.

  • Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Urology
  • MI license (or willing to obtain)
  • State provider's experience with laparoscopic/robotic techniques
