MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center is looking for Urologists to cover 1-2 weeks per month, ongoing!


Practice Setting:
  • Bright airy building less than 1-mile from the hospital
  • 3 procedures rooms with Cystoscope in each room
  • 12 exam rooms
  • On-site lab & ultrasound with tech
  • Dragon Dictation
  • 10 Olympus fiberoptic scopes with video monitors
  • Scopes picked up and cleaned by hospital
Details:
  • Schedule: 8:30a-4p Clinic with call TBD. Call may not be needed often.
  • Dates of Coverage: 1-2 weeks a month as soon as possible, full-clinic coverage and some night and week
  • Percentage of the practice: All Adult/Geriatric
  • Trauma Level/Designation: Level III
  • Average of Office/Clinic Patients per day: 25 with 4-5 new consults per day
  • Average Number of Patients Per Day: 25
  • Will Other Urologists be present during locums assignment - No
  • How many Urologists in your group: none but recruiting for 3
  • Lab Onsite: Yes
  • Office Ancillary Staff: 6 RN's, referral clerk, clinic supervisor, on-site lab and ultrasound technician
  • Office Equipment: Blue Light Olympus Videoscope technology. We do not perform Urolift, Space OAR or MRI fusion in the clinic but there are opportunities out there for it. No prostate biopsies.
  • Documentation System/EMR: EPIC in clinic; CENER in hospital
  • Reason for Covering: Help while recruiting FT physicians
  • Required Areas and Procedures: General Urology
  • Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days due to emergent need
  • Facility Reimbursement of the Following Costs: Flight, Hotel, Rental Car, Mileage Billed at the IRS Standard Rate
Submission Requirements
  • Board Certified
  • IA State License or IMLC (Not accepting non licensed/IMLC candidates at this time)
  • ACLS Certified
  • Local/Drive in - Highly Preferred
About the Facility A full complement of facilities and services are available to support the community's health care needs, including intensive care, operating and recovery rooms for both inpatient and ambulatory surgery, diagnostic radiology services such as X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging, CT scanning, mammography, laboratory, respiratory therapy, electrophysiology and pharmacy.
