Urologist opening: Pullman, WA - Located 70m to Spokane Position Details:
- Full-time, permanent
- FTE: 1.0
- Call: 1:5
- EMR: Epic
- Patients per day: 20-25
- General schedule: 4 days per week
- DaVinci Robot
- Work with the healthcare team to provide patients with urology medical care services within the standard of care for urology patients
- Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
- Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions
- Order laboratory and diagnostic tests, and refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
- Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options.
- Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up-to-date before prescribing medication/treatment.
- Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help treat the health issue they are experiencing.
- Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
- Adhere to organization and departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Document patient care conversations, care provided and all other work as defined by organizational standards in the EMR.
- Promotes and contributes to a positive work environment, serving others with professional and positive attitude.
- Responsible to train, demonstrate, or guide others in the performance of assigned work, includes, but not limited to, medical students and resident physicians.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and take responsibility for departmental space.
- Participation in organizational wide new employee orientation, successful completion of departmental orientation, and other medical staff committees.
- Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility. The expectation is that the employee will be present and on-time for all scheduled shifts.
