Credentialing takes 2-3 weeks, and candidates must be available to start within four weeks. The provider must be comfortable seeing up to 18 patients per day, managing routine urgent care procedures, and working with vulnerable populations, including migrants and refugees. Spanish or Russian language skills are a plus, and COVID and flu vaccinations are required.

Job Responsibilities

The Urgent Care Physician will provide comprehensive outpatient care in a fast-paced community health setting, treating patients of all ages (newborns to geriatrics) for acute and routine urgent care needs. Responsibilities include evaluating and managing walk-in/acute cases, chronic disease management, and performing basic procedures. The provider will work with a multidisciplinary team, including medical assistants, mental health therapists, dietitians, and pediatricians, to deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including migrants and refugees.

Qualifications

Candidates must be board-certified with an active WA medical license and WA DEA. A minimum of two years of urgent care or primary care experience with recent face-to-face patient contact is required. A clean background with no malpractice history is mandatory. Proficiency in EPIC EMR is essential. Required certifications (BLS, ACLS, etc.) will be confirmed during credentialing, and the provider will be responsible for obtaining any necessary credentials. Spanish or Russian language skills are a plus but not required.

Working Hours

The role requires a consistent four-day schedule (Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday) with 10-hour shifts from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. The contract length is three months with the possibility of extension. Credentialing takes 2-3 weeks, and candidates must be available to start within four weeks. Overtime is only approved if the provider exceeds daily productivity expectations.
