We are seeking a Locums Urgent Care Physician (MD/DO) to provide outpatient urgent care services in Worcester, MA. The role involves treating non-trauma urgent care cases in a fast-paced environment, with a patient volume of 20-30 per shift.
The physician will provide comprehensive urgent care services, managing a high-volume caseload of 20-30 patients per shift while treating a variety of non-life-threatening conditions. Responsibilities include performing minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, and buddy taping, ensuring timely and accurate documentation using EPIC EMR, and delivering efficient, patient-centered care. The role requires strong clinical decision-making skills, the ability to work independently, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Schedule:
This role follows a rotating weekly schedule:
- Week 1: Wednesday (8:00 AM - 7:00 PM), Friday (8:00 AM - 7:00 PM), Saturday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
- Week 2: Sunday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), Tuesday & Wednesday (8:00 AM - 7:00 PM).
- Week 3: Wednesday (8:00 AM - 7:00 PM), Friday (8:00 AM - 7:00 PM), Saturday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
- Week 4: Sunday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), Tuesday & Wednesday (8:00 AM - 7:00 PM).
Qualifications:
- MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Urgent Care.
- Active Massachusetts medical license required.
- Current CSR and DEA certification required.
- Urgent care or emergency department (ED) experience is required.
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR is preferred.
