Position Summary:

The Medical Director holds a crucial leadership role overseeing St. Luke's Urgent Care network. Collaboration with the lead physicians and Director of the Department at each Center imperative to implement operational policies and procedures which impact on the provision of medical services within the organization. Develop and implement appropriate quality metrics and initiate process improvement plans while collaborating with Director of Care centers and other leadership. Will spend 60% of time as a clinician rotating through all of the urgent cares and remaining will be administrative. Serves as the collaborating physician for mid-level providers at Urgent Care locations.

Responsible for seeing and treating patients of the practice by providing clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic medical services within the Physician’s specialty. Performs medical services in accordance with professional standards prevailing in the community and currently approved methods and practices, including the code of ethics of the American Medical Association and the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

Education: MD/DO

Experience: Must have 3 years experience in Urgent Care setting or Emergency Medicine required.

Licensure/Certification: BC in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice or Internal Medicine. ACLS & PALS certification are a requirement.
