Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Emergency Medicine - Urgent Care

The MU School of Medicine's Department of Emergency Medicine's Urgent Care clinics see over 82,0000 visits annually across 3 locations in Columbia, Booneville, and Mexico, MO. With more growth anticipated, we have an opening for another faculty physician on our team.

Eligible candidates will be BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine & Pediatrics. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking professional advancement in leadership roles as the growth of an Emergency Medicine Urgent Care program and the expansion of Urgent Care locations could create future opportunities for leadership roles such as an Assistant Medical Director.

Job Details:

  • Type of position:
    • 100% clinical, unless otherwise requested
    • Full-time preferred
    • Candidates seeking PRN opportunities are welcome
      • Paid per diem
  • Clinic Locations: 3
    • Columbia, MO
    • Boonville, MO (CT available)
    • Mexico, MO
  • Clinic Volume: On average, our providers see 2 – 2.5 patients per hour
  • Schedule:
    • 12, 12-hour shifts per month
    • Clinic Hours: 8a – 8p, 7 days per week
    • Shift coverage is easy due to positive team dynamics

Compensation:

  • Base salary + productivity incentive
  • Hiring incentives available, including student loan repayment assistance.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD or DO from an accredited (ACGME or ACGME-i) institution
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicinen& Pediatrics
  • Must be able to see patients of all ages
  • Maintain a DEA and BNDD
  • Must have or be able to secure an unencumbered MO License
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years experience
