The Contractor Physician shall provide Urgent Care Physician services at the Acoma Canoncito Laguna Indian Health Center in Acoma , NM. The ACLIHC is located about 60 mins west of Albuquerque NM and it primarily serves the ambulatory needs of the Acoma Pueblo Tribal members. ACLIHC services include medical and dental, in-house Pharmacy for patients.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8a-4:30p with 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid); no night no calls no weekend. Any state license: BLS/ACLS/DEA required. Housing, travel and accommodation covered by Sequoyah Staffing.
Location: Acoma , NM
Payment starts at $150.00 with Travel, Lodging and Rental Car, malpractice insurance. Payment is 1099 every two weeks, direct deposit.
8-hour shifts, Mo-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. 30 min unpaid lunch. BLS, ACLS, DEA required
Fast Track/Urgent Care setting. Patients come in for: sniffles, sprains, pink eyes, UTIs, etc.
Need minimum of 13 weeks commitment to provide travel coverage. Local candidates are welcome to apply.
Admin Orientation 2 days plus 2-3 shifts of clinical Orientation.

Job Responsibilities

.Urgent Care physician performs clinical services, responsibilities and functions to include but not limited to medical history taking, physical examination, makes diagnosis of medical conditions of patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric, ordering of appropriate laboratory tests, x-rays, if necessary. Refers patients to outside hospitals, physicians for services not available through the IHS Healthcare delivery system.
. Coordinates patient referrals through the Purchase Referred Care (PRC) office to ensure the Patient is
eligible for PRC services and appointments to outside healthcare are established for further diagnosis
and/or procedures, if required.
. Coordinates efforts on behalf of the patient and family with other agencies or health facilities for
admission to hospitals, alcohol/drug treatment rehabilitation facilities, Skilled Nursing facilities, including
arrangements for Emergency Ground and/or Air Medical Transport.
. The contractor shall provide interpretations and synthesis of clinical data, formulation of therapeutic
programs, conveying of information to patients and their families, support of patients and families in times of illness, and the timely maintenance of adequate records, detailing these activities. Discriminated between normal and abnormal finding to recognize early states of serious physical, emotional and mental problems.
. The contractor to complete with accurate diagnosis code enters all EHR notes into the charts of all
outpatients see and treated. Completes all Electronic Health Record (EHR) notes within 24 hours of patient visit(s).
. Prescribes medications and treatment therapies, and coordinates efforts with nurses, pharmacists and
other health care personnel in carrying out appropriate therapy.
. Provides individual counseling on a continuing basis for common social and emotional problems,
recognizing need for referral to a mental health professional when required.
. Independently contacts medical and surgical consultants to discuss patient care, make appropriate
referrals after discussion with physician, and arranges referral of patients to appropriate health facilities.

Qualifications

.All providers under the contract must be a Board Certified MD, DO.
have permanent, full, and unrestricted licensure to practice medicine in a State District of Columbia, the
Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
.Graduation from an accredited School of Medicine and successful completion of an approved
Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatric Medicine or Emergency Residency Programs. Physician Assistant to be certified.
.All providers shall possess a current, valid, unrestricted medical or physician assistant license
in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the US during the term of this order.
.Current BLS/ACLS/PALS/DEA are mandatory.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m, usually no more than 40 hr./ week
