Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible to perform daily Urgent Care Physician duties including but not limited to:

Provide diagnostic healthcare services to patients of all ages
Take medical histories, examine patients, order diagnostic testing, interpret test results, make diagnoses, create treatment plans
Perform minor surgical procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage and foreign body removal
Perform splinting and casting for minor orthopedic injuries
Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately
Conduct follow up calls to patients; handle incoming patient, pharmacy or physician calls

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following Qualifications:

Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor
Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine, Urgent Care and Internal Medicine (with urgent care)
Successful completion of an approved residency training program.
Active License
Current New York State Medical Practitioner License
Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing.
Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience
Bilingual (Spanish / English) is a plus, but not a requirement
