Located in *Elkhart, IN - South Bend 45m
Full-Time; Permanent
Group is actively seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) Fellowship-trained Vascular Surgeon to join a dynamic and growing team at the hospital, the only American College of Surgeons Level II Trauma Center in the region. This opportunity offers a unique chance to help build a vascular surgery program while working collaboratively with Interventional Radiologists and General Surgeons.
Position Highlights
Practice Focus:
- 100% Vascular Surgery practice, with the flexibility to perform general surgery if desired.
- Broad range of cases from straightforward to complex vascular pathologies.
- Utilize 2 fixed Hybrid ORs for advanced surgical care.
- Flexible scheduling options with approximately 1:4 call, likely to evolve over time.
Supportive Environment:
- Strong partnerships with anesthesia and critical care teams ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Minimal case referrals to tertiary care centers due to in-house expertise.
- Collegial relationships with a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaborative care.
Teaching Opportunities:
- Affiliated with Indiana University School of Medicine at Notre Dame and the Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program for teaching residents, medical students, and supervising post-graduate trainees.
Qualifications
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
Training:
- Fellowship training in Vascular Surgery.
Certification:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery.
Licensure:
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Indiana.
