Vascular Surgery opening in Norfolk, VA - Full-time, permanent position - Hospital Employed - Academic appointment - H1 Visa Eligible Facility is recruiting an experienced academic Vascular Surgeon to be a faculty member at Hospital, with an appointment at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.This is an excellent opportunity to support a Vascular Surgery fellowship and residency program and to make a difference in the community by training new surgeons and partnering in our educational mission to improve health every day. Job Highlights: - Join a collegial team of 17 vascular surgeons at a Level 1 trauma hospital with 2 Hybrid ORs - The successful candidate must be trained in all aspects of open and endovascular procedures, including all arterial and venous disorders. - The candidate will have extensive knowledge of arterial disease, including the aorta, mesentery, carotid, renal, and peripheral. They should preferably have some experience in venous disease, thoracic outlet syndrome, and spine exposure - The division has an accredited vascular fellowship and an integrated vascular residency that will require participation in the training and development of fellows, residents, and medical students - In addition, to direct patient care, the successful candidate will participate in quality initiatives, attend regional and national conferences, conduct, and develop clinical, translational, and/or basic science research. Minimum Requirements: - M.D. or D.O, licensed to practice in Virginia and board certified in Vascular Surgery - Minimum 5 years of experience, have excellent clinical and technical skills, and take a collaborative approach to patient care.
