The Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and the Wake Forest University School of Medicine are seeking candidates to join our group as a full-time member of our Academic Vascular Surgery faculty. Our Department has robust opportunities for clinical/translational research, surgical education, clinical trial enrollment and high volume surgical practice in all areas of Vascular Surgery. Our group practice focuses on providing high quality, innovative, and compassionate surgical care in an inclusive and supportive environment for faculty development. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. Candidates with research interests are encouraged to apply. This includes candidates who may have interest in, or existing awards with, the Veterans Affairs Merit Awards system.

The Department of Vascular Surgery at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist provides full spectrum clinical and surgical care for vascular disease at five clinical sites and three ICAVL certified clinical vascular labs across the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. The group performs over 2000 procedures and 15,000 vascular lab studies annually. Our group trains two 5/2 Vascular Surgery fellows and one 0/5 integrated resident per year. Medical students, PA students, podiatry residents, and General Surgery residents are also trained by our faculty and are a consistent presence on the Vascular Service. Our faculty are actively engaged in federal, foundation and industry funded research with multiple investigator-initiated funded awards by all three mechanisms. The Piedmont Triad is a rapidly growing and vibrant area or North Carolina with excellent schools, restaurants and cultural offerings as well as multiple institutions of higher learning.

To be considered qualified, candidates must:

  • Have completed an MD/DO degree
  • Be Vascular Surgery Board Certified/Board Eligible
  • Have Successfully Completed an ACGME accredited Fellowship or Integrated Residency
  • Be eligible for licensure by the North Carolina Medical Board
  • Have a passion for Clinical Management of Vascular Disease, service, education, and scholarship
