Job Description

A Sarasota based client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Vascular Surgeon to join our prestigious medical facility. As a Vascular Surgeon, you will specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of conditions affecting the vascular system. Your expertise in this field will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of this healthcare institution.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
  • Current Florida medical license
  • Completed an accredited residency program
  • Current DEA certificate
  • Board certified or board eligible
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and evaluate patients with vascular diseases and disorders through physical examinations, medical histories, and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on patient conditions, including surgical interventions, medication prescriptions, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including vascular bypass surgery, endovascular interventions, angioplasty, and other minimally invasive techniques.
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments, educate patients about surgical procedures, and obtain informed consent.
  • Monitor patients' progress post-surgery, evaluate outcomes, and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including radiologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in vascular surgery techniques, technologies, and research to provide state-of-the-art care.
  • Participate in academic activities, including teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as conducting clinical research and publishing scholarly articles.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient consultations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Adhere to medical ethics, patient confidentiality, and professional standards.
