**Vascular Surgery Opening in Altoona, PA** Located in South Central Pennsylvania - 100m to Pittsburgh **Position Details** - Full-time, permanent - Employed - Multi Specialty Group - Currently 1 vascular surgeon in practice - Hospital has 2 vascular surgeons on staff, both employed but in separate practices - Patient Load: Office: 15 20 patients per day - Work Schedule: Office: M - F: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Call Schedule: Practice: 1:2 | Hospital: 1:3 - Skill Mix: Full-scope vascular surgery case mix including open and endovascular procedures, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistula grafts, extremity bypass surgery, angiograms. - Easy access to the 12-operating room suite, interventional/endovascular procedure room, and 6-operating room ambulatory surgery center. *Must be proficient and comfortable with AV fistula grafts for renal dialysis patients.* **Compensation:** - Base salary of $500,000 + incentive of $46 per physician wRVU above 10,870/year - Estimated wRVUs at 12,000 = 1,130 wRVU x $46 - Bonus = $51,980 - Total estimated potential - $551,980 - Sign on bonus: $30k - Malpractice Insurance: Yes - Health/Vision/Dental/Life/Disability Insurance: Yes - Vacation: 20 days CME: 5 days / $3,500 annually - Standard benefits including retirement **The Company** - Health Group is part of a world-renowned network of more than 40 hospitals, 90,000 employees, 700 physician offices, and a 3.4 million-member insurance services division - The hospital is a 400-bed tertiary care hospital with 400+ practicing physicians serving a 6-county region in central PA with an accredited level 2 trauma, stroke and chest pain center and a regional oncology, cardiology, cardiac and vascular surgery center. - The Altoona Regional Health Services (ARHS) is a large 100+ physician and 65+ APP practice with cardiology, medical oncology, neurology, pulmonology, dermatology, internal medicine, family practice, urology, ENT and plastic surgery. **The Community** - Altoona is a small city surrounded by mountains in central Pennsylvania with major northeast metropolitan areas within a 2 5 hour drive - Altoona Metro/Blair County Population: 130,000 - Hospital Service Area Population: 350,000 - Trauma Service Area Population: 1 million+ (20 counties) - Local air and train service available - Penn State University/State College only 40 minutes away - Our region offers a friendly and uncomplicated way of life filled with cultural and recreational opportunities, where children can grow up in a safe and enriching community.
