Physician - Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon
SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- 10 Days of Trauma Call per Month
COMPENSATION:
- $700,000 to $750,000 Guaranteed Base Salary
- Generous RVU Bonus Model

LOCATION:
Lake Charles, Louisiana
COMPANY PROFILE:
Serving the local community since the 1950s, this regional healthcare system is dedicated to providing full service primary care, specialty, inpatient, and outpatient services to the local community. Their offerings include, among others, family medicine, internal medicine, hematology/oncology, cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology, and rheumatology. All providers are employees of the system, which comprises hospitals, clinics, specialty institutes, and residency programs.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new physician will join a hospital-employed orthopedic team at the only Level 3 ED Trauma Center in the region. The practice has direct access to over 50 employed primary care providers and a strong community provider alignment to serve as a referral base.
The surgeon will, among other work, serve high-impact trauma cases.
Physicians work with dedicated clinical and/or surgical assistants in all areas. The group also boasts strong nursing support and on-site physical therapy.
The group has extensive resources available, including an EHR and robust administrative support.
If desired, the new physician will have the opportunity to develop an elective practice.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Louisiana medical license
- DEA
- Board Certified or Eligible, Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship, Orthopedic Trauma Surgery
