Situation: Physician Services is a 150+ provider, two multi-specialty group affiliated with the not-for-profit Health System, the largest medical provider serving a 300,000 population region composed of West Central Illinois, Northeast Missouri, and Southeast Iowa. The System operates sa premier Hospital, a 307-bed regional referral center in West Central, Illinois, (population 45,000) We are a level II trauma center; however we see minimal true ‘trauma’ cases. Sub-specialty support is available in virtually every field, and the Hospital, connected by air-bridge to the physician office building, offers a full array of diagnostic and treatment capabilities. Lab, x-ray, MRI, and extremity CT are present in the clinic building’s diagnostic center. A Hospitalist program is available. Board Certification is an expectation of all of our physicians. Base salary equals the MGMA median, and all physicians are eligible for a productivity incentive bonus plan based on work production as measured by WRVU’s. Hospital was named one of 2011’s “100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare” by Modern Healthcare magazine, and it ranks among the Nation’s top eight percent “Most Wired” hospitals.
