Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job in Virginia | Seeking 7-11 Days of Coverage per Month Starting in April 2025
Jackson and Coker is partnered with a client in the Norfolk-Virginia Beach area that needs Cardiothoracic Surgery locum tenens assistance. The facility has one staffed Surgeon that will need an average of 4-9 days of call coverage support per month starting in April and ongoing. There will also be intermittent needs for longer vacation stretches throughout the year.
Details on Coverage:
--Seeking 24-hour call coverage, 7A - 7A
-- Active + unrestricted Virginia license required at time of presentation
-- Board Certification required
-- Seeking CT Surgery 24-hour ED call coverage (will be required to round, do any emergent procedures, etc.)
-- One staffed CT Surgeon
-- Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery (VATS) experience/skill is preferred; Robotics are available while on assignment but not required
-- Seeing mid-low volumes currently and anticipate 3-5 cases per week, 1-2 per weekend
-- Epic EMR inpatient, Cerner outpatient, located in southeast Virginia, 295+ bed facility, not a designated trauma facility

--September: 15-21
--October: 25-31
--November: 1-2, 14-17
--December: 20-28
