Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job in Michigan | One Week of Coverage Per Month | March Start | Assignment #107595
Coverage Needs:
-- Coverage: One week of coverage per month for specific dates listed below. Starting March through December 2025.
-- Schedule: 24-Hour Call, 7:00am-7:00am, with scheduled Clinic hours
O Response Time: 30 minutes
-- Specific Dates:
O March 10 through 16 (the 10th is 8 hours of orientation)
O April 21 through 27
O May 12 through 18
O June 9 through 15
O July 14 through 20
O August 11 through 18
O August 30 through September 7
O September 15 through 21
O October 2 through 15
O October 20 through 26
O November 10 through 16
O December 15 through 21
Assignment Details/Requirements:
-- Reason for Coverage: Need additional staff
-- Privileging Timeline: Temporary privileges available within ~30 days
-- License: Willing to license, but MI license is required for temporary privileges
-- Required Procedures:
O General CV/CT Surgery
O TAVR
O CABG
O Coronary defects (ASD, VSD, PFO, etc.)
O Valvular repair and replacement
O Aneurysm repair (cardiac and aortic-thoracic)
O Lung resection (including VATs)
O Chest wall or pleural procedures
O Automatic Internal Cardiac Defibrillator (AICD)
O Vent management
-- Support Staff/Team Structure: 5 RNs, 11 PAs/NPs, 2 MAs, 7 office staff
O APP takes first call
-- Practice Setting: BOTH Inpatient and Outpatient
-- Volume: 6-10 patients per day
-- Requirements: BC/BE, Fellowship, ACLS
-- Facility Information:
O Trauma Level: Level II
O Number of Beds: ~160 staffed beds; ~20 beds in department
O Hospital is Stroke Certified
-- EMR: Athena and Cerner
