This southwest GA health system, a JCAHO accredited facility, is assisting a local surgical practice in their search for a BC/BE Thoracic (non-cardiac) Surgeon. The six surgeons and medical staff at the practice take great pride in providing patients with innovative and compassionate surgical care, with a special focus on minimally invasive treatment options.

Position Details

  • Elective Thoracic Practice
  • Minimally Invasive experience required
  • 1:6 Call shared with General Surgery
  • Must be willing to take general surgery call including emergency and trauma - Level Three Trauma Center
  • Intuitive Surgical ION Platform and navi bronch with 3 full-time pulmonologists and a Lung Nodule clinic and coordinator
  • Full oncology center with Emory-Winship Cancer center partnership and availability of Cesium Mesh
  • Three daVinci Xi Robotic Surgery units with block time
  • Teaching / Co-surgeon console for Xi Robotic units
  • Experienced General /Thoracic Surgeon mentor with several hundred robotic thoracic cases
  • Dedicated PA for office and OR
