Location: A city located in the northwest part of the state of South Carolina. Situated approximately halfway between the cities of Atlanta, Georgia, and Charlotte, North Carolina, making it part of the larger metropolitan area known as the "I-85 corridor."

Facility: A hospital that's a major healthcare provider in the area, offering a wide range of medical services including emergency care, surgery, maternity care, cardiology, oncology, neurology, and more.

Opportunity:
  • Open dates: TBD; sporadic coverage through 2025
  • Shift(s) Description:24 hour call coverage; 7a-7a
    Practice setting: Hospital
  • Patient demographic: 100% adult
  • Provider in practice: 1 physician, 1 mid-level
  • Locum will be required to supervise other providers; there will be a PA working with the locum
  • Labs & X-rays on-site
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Required Procedures:
    • General CV/thoracic surgery
    • Coronary artery bypass surgery - on pump
    • Congenital defects (preferred)
    • Valvular repair & repair (preferred)
    • Aneurysm repair (cardiac & aorto-thoracic - preferred)
    • Lung resection (preferred)
    • Chest wall or pleural procedures (preferred)
    • Evaluation & management of acute vol/BP issues (preferred)
    • Insertion of central line, arterial line, PA catheter, IABP (preferred)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
