Plastic Surgery Opening in Sacramento, California
The Permanente Medical Group is seeking a BC/BE Surgeon to join our team in Sacramento, CA. We are hoping for someone with broad interest in reconstructive surgery including cancer reconstruction, body contouring, gender affirming top surgery, facial trauma and outpatient burn care. A microsurgery fellowship is not required but an ideal candidate would be willing to operate as a co-surgeon for DIEP flaps with one of our fellowship-trained microsurgeons. This position allows for a cosmetic practice alongside the reconstructive work, with the potential for additional income.

Role Highlights:

  • Join a close-knit collegial group of 5 young to mid-career surgeons
  • Teaching opportunity and call coverage with rotating resident from UC Davis Plastic Surgery
  • Salary-based, not RVU based with physician autonomy for medical decision making
  • Excellent practice support with two physician assistants and dedicated care coordinators for breast cancer and gender affirming surgery
  • No hand call or hand experience required
  • Manageable call schedule, 1 week out of 6, with some resident assistance
  • Many opportunities for education, research, leadership development and enrichment within the organization
  • Fantastic integrated referral network, good relationships with referring departments
  • Additional support with extended network of over 50 TPMG plastic surgeons in NCAL for second opinions, advice or assistance

Full-time annual salary range is $445,020 to $450,000 plus additional potential incentives up to $35,180*. Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available. *Some incentive opportunities are estimates based on potential premium pay.
