Director of Lymphedema

The Medicus Firm Executive Search is proud to continue its partnership with the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at Oregon Health Science University in their search for a Director of Lymphedema.

Seeking a full time, academic surgeon for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Clinical Responsibilities will be to focus upon building the Lymphedema clinical program.

Duties of Position

Revolve around teaching, research, and clinical activities. The teaching duties of the position involve participating in the education and training of medical and nursing students, house staff, and the regional medical community. The faculty member will be expected to make a didactic presentation at the Division’s Grand Rounds at least four times per year. The second component of the position involves establishing and maintaining scholarly research activity directed toward the improved understanding of the causes, detection, and treatment of diseases. The clinical component of the position involves providing clinical care to patients at the University Hospitals and Clinics, as well as affiliated hospitals and clinics, and engaging in public service through consultative activities in the appointee’s specialty with non-University groups.

Qualified candidates at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor are also eligible for the Tracy Parker Endowed Professorship.

Required Qualifications

  • M.D.; Board Certification in General Surgery; Board Eligibility in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery; Completion of a Micro Fellowship.
