Job Responsibilities

REQUIRED -
1. Providers availability (full time is required, ~20 shifts per month)
2. Extensive breast surgery experience required
* Procedure logs with bid upfront is preferred (but will be required to obtain privileges)
* Estimate number of breast surgeries within last 24 months is acceptable for presentation (at least 100
breast surgeries in the past two years)
They will work in clinic M-F (8am-5pm). OR time will be fluid as it just depends on when an OR block opens
up. There will be night call after clinic mostly. It is beeper call. The main clinician will take all the call but if
she is unavailable some weekends, they may ask the locum provider to cover 24hr beeper call. Usually they
only get one call a day and may not even have to go in will just need to answer the call.

*UPDATE* - locum is ONLY REQUIRED to do Oncology Breast Surgery and Mastectomy/lumpectomy, they
ARE NOT REQUIRED to do:
• Not: reduction mammoplasty
• Not: Augmentation Mammoplasty
• Not: Mastopexy

UPDATE- Hope this helps to narrow down candidates. We are looking for either a fellowship trained breast
surgeon or a general surgeon with extensive breast experience. The surgeon should be able to preform
lumpectomy, mastectomies including nipple, sparing mastectomy, participate in joint oncoplastic surgeries,
sentinel note biopsy, and axillary dissection. They should also have facile knowledge of high risk and benign
breast disease as well as survivorship.
Note to qualify provider must have case logs that show breast experience with at least 100 surgeries in the
past two years.
