Job Description
The Penn State Department of Neurosurgery, Penn State Health and the Commonwealth Health System seek an ABNS certified or eligible neurosurgeon with endovascular fellowship training.
This practice will be located at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, joining the other Penn State Neurosurgery faculty members there. The Department of Neurosurgery has 24 clinical faculty members and twelve research faculty members. It is a component of Penn State Health, a multidisciplinary medical group offering patient care services throughout Central Pennsylvania. The Wilkes-Barre General Hospital is the largest community hospital in Northeast Pennsylvania. It is also the neurosurgical referral center for all Commonwealth Health hospitals in the region.
The successful candidate is expected to excel in open and endovascular neurosurgical patient care. He or she will share endovascular and general neurosurgery call responsibilities on a regular basis with the other faculty members, including an endovascular neurosurgeon. Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
