As an Neurological Surgeon part of the Neurosciences team at Intermountain Health, you will work with a large system-wide team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. The Neurosurgery team at Utah Valley Hospital currently has 4 neurosurgeons, and 4 neurosurgery advanced practice providers. Neurosurgery is part of a larger Neurosciences team at Utah Valley, including Neurohospitalists and outpatient Neurology providers.
Utah Valley Hospital is a level II trauma facility with a Primary Stroke Center performing mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke and is Join Commission accredited in Advanced Spine Surgery.
In this role, you can anticipate:
- Clinical and surgical cases at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah
- Some surgical cases will be at local ASC; potential to participate in ASC
- Eventual flexible clinic/OR schedule; anticipated to initially be 2-days/week in clinic and 2-days/week of OR surgical time
- General neurological surgery at a level II trauma center
- Unrestricted neurosurgical call requirement; compensation offered for call requirement
- This position includes a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance (if applicable)
An ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in neurological surgery and advanced spine care, with interest in local leadership.

What you’ll bring:
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- ACGME accredited residency training in Neurosurgery
- Fellowship trained in Neurological Surgery
- Board certified in Neurological Surgery
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- BLS certification and DEA
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
