Locums Trauma Surgeon - Hartford, CT Coverage Need

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: Ongoing (until full-time provider is hired)
  • Schedule: - Monday - Friday: 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. - Three weeknights per week: 4 p.m. - 7 a.m. - Weekends: Saturday/Sunday 24-hour call (7 a.m. - 7 a.m. next day)
Position Details Specialty: Trauma Surgery Provider Type: Physician Practice Setting: Inpatient (Hospital-based) Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Reason for Coverage: Vacancy during recruitment Average Trauma Surgical Cases/Day: 5 Trauma Level: Level 1 Trauma Center Annual ER Volume: 80,000 ED Admission Rate: 35% Beds: 617 EMR: Epic OR Staff: Fully staffed team Patient Population: Primarily adult and geriatric, occasional pediatrics Submissions Requirements Board Certified - Required Fellowship Trained - Required ACLS - Required DEA - Verbal Confirmation Required at Name Clear Active CT License - Required (may reconsider for strong out-of-state candidates) Local candidates strongly preferred (only mileage reimbursed) Availability at time of name clear - Required Skill Requirements Adult & Geriatric Trauma Surgery Penetrating & Blunt Trauma Chest Tube Insertion Laparoscopic Appendectomy Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Credentialing Estimated Timeframe: 30 - 40 days (if licensure is active and in good standing) ```
