Clinical Role:

- March 24-28 / 24-hour 7a-7a - on going coverage
- Setting: Hospital round and call
- FTE: 1
- # Providers Needed: 1
- Duties: hospital rounding and call
- Required Procedures: Gallbladder, Hernia's, Colorectal and surgical oncology, endocrine surgery, endoscopy surgery, and numerous minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures
- EMR: EPIC
- Patients per Day: 40
- Support Staff: 3 APP's
- Reason for Coverage: Physician on PTO
- Both upper and lower Endoscopy Required
- Laparoscopy Required
- Vascular required - 30% traumas are penetrating, sometimes requiring vascular repairs
- Annual ER admissions over 40K
- Trauma Level II
- Most common cases the locum will see: Random - a lot of abdominal and colorectal procedures/traumas-Same as above on other procedures
- PA/NP does not need to first assist on cases
- Average number of calls per night: 10-20 on average. Mostly for peds patients, we will handle Lap Appy's and traumas will get shipped to Children's because we don't have the peds support on it
- Board Certified or truly BE - Required
- Must have AR license - Required
- ACLS, BLS - Required
- Malpractice – Required- Clean preferred
